Welcome to our very first issue of the Prebbleton Community newsletter. We have made a paper version to complement this website.
We would like to thank everyone who has contributed to this first edition, including community members, business owners, local organisations and other volunteers. You'll find a range of information from community news, health and wellness updates, council updates, items of interest including an easy seasonal recipe made locally, crossword and word find plus a directory of local business and important contacts at the back. There will also be an article called “Spotlight on…” this could be a local business, a group or even a person, a must read. If you have someone in mind for this for our upcoming issues please email us and we’ll check it out.
This newsletter is published right here in Prebbleton, from design to print. It's printed sustainably on paper made from converted agricultural waster wheat straw and post industrial waste wood chips. Keeping it sustainable and local.
We'd like to thank the local businesses who have advertised within this publication and on our website. As our township grows, and new businesses establish themselves we ask you to please support them as they make this publication and the website possible.
The newsletter will be distributed quarterly starting from March. Copies can be found in various local businesses in Prebbleton, including Prebbleton Pharmacy, Liquorland, Saket Indian Restaurant, Elite Physiotherapy, Orris Nail Spa, Fush, Prebbleton Takeaways, Chip shop, Hatch Early Learning Centre We have also supplied Summerset Retirement village, and Ashford Bupa village with their own copies. If you prefer to receive a copy directly in your mailbox, please send us an email at prebbletonnz@gmail.com with your details.
Due to the rapid expansion of the township in recent years, a bulk mailbox drop is no longer feasible for us. However, we've partnered with several local businesses who have kindly offered to have copies of our newsletter at their front desks. Additionally, if you'd like to get a sneak peek of what's inside, we've attached a PDF version below for your convenience.
The purpose of this newsletter is to include and connect with community members (especially those who don't have access to the internet) We will always strive to provide accurate, relevant, and timely information to the community.
While some parts of the newsletter may not be of interest to you, others may find valuable information in other sections.
Keep an eye out for our next publication in June and thanks again for supporting local.
