Prebbleton Community

Established around 1855, it's one of the earliest settlements on the Canterbury Plains.

It's located in the Selwyn district of Canterbury and is just 11 km southwest of the Christchurch city center and only a few kilometers from Hornby and Lincoln.

Since the Canterbury earthquakes in 2010, the village has increased significantly as people move away from the city center and head southwest. Here are a few statistics from the NZ statistics census:

Year      Pop.   ±% p.a.

2006     2,001   —

2013     2,772  +4.77%

2018    4,515  +10.25%

The local primary school currently has a roll of 529 as of November 2021.
